Works
- Safari — the only browser Apple allows to install apps
Does not work
- Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, DuckDuckGo, Opera
- Facebook, Instagram and Messenger in-app browsers
Android and Samsung
Works
- Chrome — easiest, one tap
- Samsung Internet — built in on Samsung phones
- Microsoft Edge
- Brave (from the ⋮ menu)
- Vivaldi
- Kiwi Browser
Does not work properly
- DuckDuckGo and Firefox — these only save a link, not the app
- Opera — inconsistent
- Facebook, Instagram and Messenger in-app browsers
If you saved a link by mistake, delete it from your home screen, then open australiasociety.org/install again in Chrome or Samsung Internet.
AusSoc is available to approved Australia Society members. After installing, sign in with your member account.
